Dermato-oncology

Dermatooncology is a subspecialty of dermatology focused on the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of skin tumors, including both malignant and benign lesions. Special emphasis is placed on the early detection of skin cancer such as melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. Early identification and timely removal of suspicious lesions are essential for effective treatment and health preservation. In addition to clinical examination, dermoscopy, digital mole analysis, and histopathological diagnostics are used.

Skin cancer prevention

Regular mole checks and sun protection reduce the risk of developing melanoma and other skin cancers.

Melanoma, basal cell, and squamous cell carcinoma

Malignant skin tumors that require early recognition, dermoscopic diagnosis, and surgical removal.

Mole screening and monitoring

Dermoscopy and digital mole monitoring allow for early detection of skin changes.

Removal of suspicious lesions

Lesions that change in shape, color, or size are surgically removed or treated with other dermatologic procedures.

Actinic keratoses

Precancerous changes caused by prolonged UV exposure, often treated with cryotherapy or topical therapies.

Seborrheic keratoses and other benign lesions

Benign growths that may be removed for cosmetic or diagnostic reasons.

Histopathological analysis

Every removed lesion is sent for microscopic examination to establish a definitive diagnosis.
